How I Became a Tour Guide
Returning to Albania after a period of 3 years abroad, I had no job and no friends (because they all got engaged 🥲). So I found a field of study in which they travel and talk about nature or mountains — the thing that I used to do in Scotland. But this time, I had a mentor in history and geography, and it made everything so interesting. I gave myself into the rabbit hole; I wanted to know everything and loved every part of the journey because I was with friends, doing what I love. From here, I saw Albania with a different eye — I saw it as the Scotland of the Balkans. That’s how I became a tour guide: not because I might know the path, but because I wanted to share with people what I felt when I first started and what I still feel today.
This website showcases my work as a tour guide while sharing stories that offer glimpses into my personal journey and Albania’s rich and complex history. It's for those who have encouraged me over the years to start something of my own, and for anyone looking to explore Albania with my guidance.
